An Ohio inmate has created a petition asking for early release, citing in part that he wants to watch LeBron James play basketball.

Thirty-nine-year-old Jason Goudlock has served close to 21 years at the Toledo Correctional Institution, reports Fox 8 Cleveland.

Goudlock was found guilty on charges of aggravated robbery and felony assault in Cuyahoga County and began his sentence in 1994.

His letter to the parole board was largely serious, noting that recently convicted murderers have been sentenced to less time than he has for robbery.

Goudlock then added: “On the lighter side, I would truly like to witness in person LeBron James’ pursuit of an NBA championship for my beloved hometown.”

He wrote he would like to work with at-risk youths upon his release. If he serves his full sentence, Goudlock will not be released until 2028.
