Chris Rock’s new film, Top Five, might become one of your top five favorite comedies, based on the newly released trailer from Paramount Pictures.
Top Five is written and directed by Rock and tells the story of a New York City comedian-turned film star, whose unexpected encounter with a journalist (Rosario Dawson) forces him to confront his existing comedy career as well as his past.
Rock appears in Top Five alongside an all-star cast including Rosario Dawson, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, Cedric The Entertainer, J.B. Smoove, Sherri Shepherd, Anders Holm, Romany Malco, Leslie Jones, Michael Che and Jay Pharoah. The film is produced by Scott Rudin and Eli Bush. The co-producers are Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and Kanye West; the executive music producer is Questlove.
Top Five opens to limited theaters December 5 and nationwide December 12.
