The gun was in the weave.

That’s what North Carolina police officers discovered earlier this week when searching Tiffanie Bass. She was arrested during a raid on a downtown Raleigh nightclub, according to WRAL-TV.

Police found the gun when Bass was being processed, not when she was initially arrested.

It remains unclear, WRAL reports, why the gun wasn’t found beforehand.

Bass, 32, had an outstanding warrant for a “worthless check violation.”

WTVD reports Bass “was arrested at Club Rumors and charged with resisting an officer, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a stolen firearm.”

The Raleigh Police Department issued the following statement to WTVD and other media outlets:

RPD aspects related to the firearm located later at the jail are currently being reviewed internally to determine if departmental procedures were followed and to determine if any of those procedures should be changed in light of the occurrence.
