Horns Lake, MS — A 28-year-old mother who is expecting triplets any day now has been evicted from her home. Chevis Poole says she fell months behind on her rent after she was put on bed rest and unable to continue her work at a local bank. Now she owes nearly $5,000 in rent and eviction court fees.

Poole already has two children and wasn’t expecting triplets, especially since she didn’t undergo In Vitro Fertilization.

“On the inside, I’m just torn all apart,” she said to WMCTV.

After her story aired on the local news station, she received some support from the community, but not enough. Her boyfriend’s family will take care of her two kids in Greenville, Mississippi. Unfortunately, she won’t be able to travel with them because it’s three hours away from her doctor. Her boyfriend, Jarrell Layton, has been staying optimistic through all of this.

“I just feel like something is going to work out for us,” he said.

WMC-TV has provided viewers who are interested in helping Chevis with her email.
