94-year-old Tuskegee Airman honored for her service
She joined the army over 70 years ago and was assigned to the Tuskegee Air Reserve Base. Yesterday, for Veteran’s Day, she finally received a Congressional Medal.
94-year-old Irma Dryden was honored for her time as a nurse in this incredibly inspiring unit by the Tuskegee Airmen Chapter of Atlanta and Major General Stacey Harris. The commander of Dobbins Air Reserve Base says Second Lt. Dryden was more than a nurse to the unit and definitely earned the title Tuskegee Airman.
