A recent interview with T Magazine saw siblings Jaden and Willow Smith dish on a variety of topics, including the nature of time, music and “prana energy.”

On the subject of life, Willow explains to a writer it’s “looking at nature and being, like, ‘Wow, I am so lucky to have a body and to breathe and to be able to look at this.” Jaden adds: “And the huge, terrible thing the world would be missing by not expressing yourself.”

The pair discussed their reading habits — 16-year-old Jaden prefers ancient texts that “can’t be pre-dated,” whereas 14-year-old Willow said she’s been reading quantum physics recently — with Jaden also revealing that his sister has “been writing her own novels since she was 6.”

The two also talked about learning and criticized school. Willow said, “I went to school for a year. It was the best experience but the worst experience,” going on to mention that it made her “depressed.” Jaden said, “You never learn anything in school,” iterating that “our learning will never end.”

When asked if their lives were moving quickly, the pair had interesting theories on the nature of time. Willow said, “I mean, time for me, I can make it go slow or fast, however I please, and that’s how I know it doesn’t exist.”

Jaden followed this up with, “It’s proven that how time moves for you depends on where you are in the universe. It’s relative to beings and other places. But on the level of being here on earth, if you are aware in a moment, one second can last a year. And if you are unaware, your whole childhood, your whole life can pass by in six seconds. But it’s also such a thing that you can get lost in.”

The wide-ranging interview raised some eyebrows from media outlets, with Gawker calling it “insane,” and Time compiling a list of the 5 weirdest things from the interview.

Jaden probably isn’t bothered by that, though; when asked “what’s next?” by the interviewer, he replied, “I have a goal to be just the most craziest person of all time.”
