Dave Chappelle recently sat down with GQ to discuss his recent comeback after almost a decade out of the spotlight.

Earlier this year, Chappelle headlined 10 sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall after living on a farm in a small town in Ohio for around seven years. Chappelle said that appearing at the venue was on his “show-business bucket list,” and that he used to walk by the marquee when he was a teenager.

Chappelle also joked about other comeback plans, saying, “I’d be a zombie in The Walking Dead. A corpse on CSI. I’d be the first black guy to f**k Olivia Pope on Scandal.…”

Entertainment Weekly pointed out that Pope’s boyfriend in Season 2 was actually black, however, meaning that particular role would be unavailable to Chappelle.

Chappelle talked about fame, saying, “Some people have great experiences in show business. We’ll say, for lack of a better term, I had an allergic reaction to some of the things that I was going through.”

In the interview, Chappelle also revealed that he probably bought marijuana from Luther and Pacific Rim star Idris Elba and described how women would “lose their goddamn minds” when Elba would come around Carolines comedy club.

Chappelle, who did an extended bit on Sterling during his recent stint at Radio City, also explained why he thought the former owner of the Clippers shouldn’t have lost his franchise.

“I just don’t like when things like that happen, because if they take shit away for things that people say that are objectionable, I may not have anything in a few years,” Chappelle said. “Granted, I don’t think I say sh*t like ‘Stop bringing white people to my game.’”

Chappelle explained that there were a lot of reasons why he stopped making Chappelle’s Show, and when asked “what’s next,” responded somewhat cryptically, “I have all these weird fantasies. Going coast-to-coast on my motorcycle and having random barbecues all over America. No show, no nothing.”
