Instead, the family’s 3-year-old daughter had apparently been responsible for the call when she was playing with the phone.
The stayed for a while and talked to the family, and a 7-year-old girl told them that she was upset because their family wouldn’t have a Christmas tree this year.
The next day, the officers returned, this time bearing gifts: a Christmas tree, complete with ornaments and lights.
