Chris Rock says Kanye West's 'Dark Twisted Fantasy' is better than 'Thriller'

VIDEO - 'Top Five' director/actor Chris Rock made a bold statement saying that one of Kanye West's albums is better than Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'...

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Chris Rock apparently prefers to jam out to Kanye’s “Runaway” and “All of the Lights” more than he likes listening to Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” and “Billie Jean.”

During a recent interview alongside his Top Five co-star Rosario Dawson, Rock said that Kanye’s 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, is better than Thriller.

Rock made the comment alongside Dawson while taking part in a Hip-Hop roundtable with some of the best Hip-Hop journalists and icons, including Angie Martinez and Ed Lover, debating who’s the best rapper of all time.

Last month, in an interview with the New York Times, Rock took his love for Kanye’s album a step further, saying, “Kanye’s the best.” Rock said, “He might be the only guy that did party records that make you think. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy‘s probably the best piece of music made in the last 25, 30 years. It’s better than Thriller.… There’s no ‘Baby Be Mine’ on that record!”

Rock’s Top Five hits theaters nationwide Friday.
