John Wall’s tear-jerking post-game interview will touch your heart.

After the Washington Wizards won in double overtime against the Boston Celtics, Wall dedicated the victory to 5-year-old Damiyah “Miyah” Telemaque-Nelson.

Wall had become friends with Miyah through a friend who told him her story and had seen her through her battle with Burkitt’s lymphoma. On Monday, she died of the disease.

“This was an emotional game for me,” Wall said following the game. “This is for Miyah, one of my close friends who I lost that I met last year and it’s just tough man. To see a little kid who fights their heart for cancer and can’t beat it…this game is for her. My jersey, my shorts I’m going to give to her family. It’s a tough day for me.”

A reporter then asked, “She really touched your heart, didn’t she?”

Wall could not respond and instead bent over and cried.
