Two women who met as Ferguson protesters get married
theGRIO REPORTS - Alexis Templeton and Brittany Ferrel met while protesting in Ferguson, and they were married at St. Louis City Hall Tuesday.
Alexis Templeton and Brittany Ferrel met while protesting in Ferguson, and this Tuesday, they were married at St. Louis City Hall.
Both women were part of the group Millennial Activists United, a group that focuses on “educated and empowering” communities.
Templeton, born and raised in Ferguson, and Ferrel, who grew up in St. Louis, both went to high school in Ferguson and were very active in the months of protests there.

On Tuesday, Templeton and Ferrel invited a few close friends as well as St. Louis City Counselor Calvert Winson. Since the wedding, images from the ceremony and of the couple and the rings have been shared across Twitter.
