theGRIO REPORT - A Memphis woman fought off an intruder Tuesday morning with a machete.
A Memphis woman fought off an intruder Tuesday morning with a machete.
The incident took place on the 5000 block of Horn Lake just before 10am, reports WREG.
In an interview with WMCActionNews5, the homeowner said the intruder attempted to enter through her bedroom window.
“I ran out of my room. I grabbed my machete,” the homeowner said.

She hid in another room, and when she looked into the room, she saw the intruder’s head coming through the window.
“I just ran in there and started choppin with my machete,” she said. “And I chopped him on the head or something and he ran back out the window and he ran around the corner to the neighborhood.”

“And I didn’t have on any clothes, so I ran out the house kinda naked and I thought about it and I ran back in the house, put some clothes on.”
Authorities are still searching for the intruder.
