Mayor…2 Chainz?
In an interview with XXL Magazine, the rapper discussed the possibility of running for office in his hometown of College Park, Georgia.
“I’m supposed to be running for mayor in College Park,” he told the magazine. “I got everybody wishing. I’m really gonna do this little mayor thing in College Park. I’m just trying to make sure I have the right qualifications.”
2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, recently proved his TV debate skills against cable heavyweight Nancy Grace. The two engaged in a pretty entertaining ‘conversation’ about the merits of legalizing marijuana – a subject Epps is intimately familiar with.
Epps played D1 basketball for one season at Alabama State University, before committing himself full-time to hip-hop.
There remains no word on whether he will run under Mayor Chainz or Mayor Epps.
