Atlanta police are investigating the beating of a 23-year-old Atlanta woman who says her two best friends beat her for two hours.

“She grabbed me off the couch and started hitting me,” Myriah Pointer said of the incident to WXIA.

The beating, she says, all started because she sat on someone’s hamburger. She suffered two black eyes, two broken teeth, and fractures on her face.

She also suffered a concussion.

Pointer said the night started off normally, with a night of drinking and hanging out with her best friends. But then, the night turned into a nightmare.

“They held me down,” she said. “Took turns; stomped my face in – did all kinds of things.”

A video of the beating was recorded and uploaded online to sites such as WorldStarHipHop.com, which is known for shocking images. In the video, the two girls strike Pointer, kick her in the head, and hold her by her hair. All this takes place near a man sitting on the sofa holding a young child.

“I just thought they were going to kill me,” Pointer said, noting that she passed in and out of consciousness several times during the two-hour ordeal.

Pointer’s sister said a mutual friend is trying to convince the two girls to turn themselves in. In the meantime, police say arrests are expected soon.

“There was a lot of good information obtained from the victim during the course of the meeting, and I expect charges are going to be forthcoming,” said Atlanta Police Sgt. Greg Lyon. “Every phone has a camera. And all I can say is that offers great evidence in cases like these.”

A Facebook page was created in Pointer’s honor: Justice For Myriah Pointer.
