A DeKalb County officer shot and killed an unarmed, naked man Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred after police responded to a call about an unclothed man knocking on doors and crawling on the ground, according to WSB-TV.
The naked man, identified by police as 27-year-old Iraq war veteran Anthony Hill, was reportedly hanging from a balcony and told a bystander that he was “OK.”
“He was acting crazy, but he was calm like he didn’t know where he was. He was like kind of lost in his face,” one witness told WSB-TV.
Watch a report on the Anthony Hill’s death below:
“When the male saw the officer, he charged, running at the officer,” said DeKalb County Director of Public Safety Cedric Alexander. “The officer called on him to step back, drew his weapon and fired two shots.”
While some witnesses verify this account, others are not sure deadly force was needed.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating the case.
