A video depicting a brutal attack on a 16-year-old girl at a New York McDonald’s has community activists outraged.
A witness captured the assault on a cell phone. The graphic clip shows a group of girls punching, kicking and stomping the alleged victim, who is wearing a blue hoodie.
For roughly three minutes, no one steps forward to stop the fight. The video was uploaded to Facebook Monday and police have begun investigating.
The fight took place at a McDonald’s near Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn. Police believe all of the teens “involved” were students at the school.

The alleged victim managed to pull the hoodie of one of her main attackers off, but it did not stop the fight. The girl, now only clad in a bra and jeans, continues to kick and stomp the girl with the blue hoodie.
At one point, the crowd can be heard saying “She’s dead,” and, “You murdered her.”
A few students help the girl who was attacked to a bench, where she collapses.
Pei-Sze Cheng of NBC New York reports:
Police, who had not seen the video of the brawl at that point, say the girl in the blue hooded sweatshirt did not want to make a report or go to the hospital. She ended up going to the hospital later and was treated for bumps and bruises, authorities said.
On Wednesday, after reviewing the cellphone brawl video, police say they took a report for gang assault and were able to identify the girl in the blue hooded sweatshirt and the girl seen stomping her head. Both are 16 years old, authorities said. Authorities say they believe all those involved in the brawl are students at Erasmus High School.
