Lake’s incredible day was made possible by Bert’s Big Adventure, a non-profit organization affiliated with morning radio show The Bert Show that organizes trips and adventures for children with terminal illnesses and their families.
The avid Hawks fan woke up Monday morning to an Atlanta Hawks bus outside his home and an invite to The Bert Show studio to meet the team’s owner and CEO Steve Koonin.

The team announced via Twitter that head coach Mike Budenholzer will officially announce Lake’s contract during a press conference on Tuesday.
