Denver TSA officer admits to pat downs for pleasure

theGRIO REPORT - A TSA screeners at Denver International Airport are accused of using their position of authority to grope and fondle male travelers they found attractive.

TSA screeners at Denver International Airport are accused of using their position of authority to grope and fondle male travelers they found attractive.

Two TSA officers who worked at DIA have reportedly been fired, according to CBS Denver. One former officer even admitted to participating in the manipulation of the airport’s screening system, making it possible for a male TSA screener to pat down male travelers departing from the airport.

A female TSA employee reported what was happening to officials when she was told by the gentleman involved in November.

In a police report obtained by CBS, the female screener said, “When a male he finds attractive comes to be screened by the scanning machine, he will alert another TSA screener to indicate to the scanning computer that the party being screened is a female.”

By doing this, the scanner will alert screeners to an anomaly in the genital area, allowing the male screener to perform a pat down search on the male traveler.

TSA investigators looked into the female agent’s claims and watched the male worker in question. The investigator watched as the male TSA screener signaled to a female accomplice. She then ran the scanner for a female passenger, which reported an anomaly with the male traveler. The investigator then watched as the male TSA agent “conducted a pat down of the passenger’s front groin and buttocks area with the palm of his hands.”

The pat down was not TSA policy, and investigators confronted both TSA employees involved.

The female screener confessed to playing a part in the manipulation of the security system. Both agents were fired, and Denver police are investigating the incidents as potential sexual assaults.

The Southwest Airlines passenger who was groped during the March investigation has yet to be identified.
