Remember when Jamie Foxx did that amazing, spot-on impression of John Legend singing the “Toys R’ Us” jingle on Jimmy Fallon’s show?

Well, John Legend isn’t about to be outdone, so he’s released his own performance of the jingle, and it’s everything you could hope it would be.

The original Jamie Foxx version was performed on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon during a segment called “Musical Impressions Generator.” During the segment, random musicians were paired with random songs, and the guest then had to impersonate that musician singing the given song. Needless to say, Foxx’s version was an instant hit.

Now, John Legend is showing that he, too, can play the game, showing off his own performance with a little dig at Foxx. He throws in some “Hallelujah”s at the end, likely as a nod to the national anthem performance Foxx gave before the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight.

What do you think, Grio fam? Who sang it better?
