Charles Barkley to donate $1 million to Morehouse College

theGRIO REPORT - Charles Barkley, legendary NBA player and co-host of TNT's Inside the NBA revealed Tuesday that he plans to give $1 million to Morehouse College, the prestigious all-male HBCU in Atlanta Georgia.

Charles Barkley revealed this week he plans to give $1 million to Morehouse College.

The donation from the NBA Hall-of-Famer will coincide with two other $1 million gifts to The Wounded Warrior Project and Auburn University, Barkley’s alma mater.

Barkley made the surprise announcement during a conference call for the American Century Championship’s celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

“I just got a new contract, and my goal is always to give a million dollars a year away to charity,” Barkley said during the call.

Barkley is a studio analyst for TNT’s Inside the NBA. The network just renewed his contract for another eight to ten years.
