Kansas TV reporter Katya Leick just wanted to get her story done so she could get away from the huge bugs attacking her.
This week, the reporter was in Fort Riley working on a story, but as she stood on top of a tank, she was swarmed by cicadas. Batting at the bugs and squealing when the landed on her, she tried valiantly to finish shooting the story, despite how obviously freaked out she was as one even landed on her face!
The cicadas came out in force for the first time in 17 years, and already, many locals are counting the days until they go back into their long sleep.
