The grandson of rapper Ice-T has been indicted by a Georgia jury in the shooting death of his roommate.
Elyjah Marrow, 20, claims he accidentally shot his roommate Daryus Johnson in June of last year. Marrow faces multiple charges, including involuntary manslaughter an marijuana possession.
Marrow told investigators that he was holding a stolen handgun when it accidentally went off and hit Johnson in the chest, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The shooting took place inside the Marietta apartment the two shared.
Johnson was transported to a nearby hospital and later died of his injuries.
Marrow, who is currently out on bail, admitted to dealing marijuana. He is awaiting trial.
