Way to go, Target!

In a new campaign for swimwear called “A Fit for Every Body,” Target is showing off a broad range of swimsuits as well as showing off an ad that screams out with body positivity.

In the campaign, bloggers Nashelly Messina, Nikki Minton, Sarah Boyd and Chantè Burkett meet with stylist Zanna Roberts Rassi to discuss what they like and dislike about their bodies. Unsurprisingly, everyone there is quick to point out what they are most self-conscious about with their bodies, noting that it is hard to feel confident in a swimsuit.

By the end of the video, the women have discussed ways they can love their bodies and be more comfortable in their own skin.

“Women need to see other women embracing their bodies, especially women who are the same race and may have the same body type as theirs,” Burkett said in a statement. She also noted that the photos used in the ads are “so realistic with light body edits.”

“It’s shocking and sad that we’re still talking about these types of campaigns as ‘innovative,'” Messina said. “I hope women are encouraged to love their bodies and celebrate their best assets and know that we all have imperfections, and that’s OK and real.”

A spokesperson for Target also said that they were trying to reach out to the women who buy their swimwear this summer rather than allowing them to continue to feel dread over finding a swimsuit.

“We know there is no ‘one suit fits all’ and wanted to help women feel confident this summer and empowered to try different styles, no matter their size or shape,” the spokesperson said to Buzzfeed.
