Singer Keri Hilson came under fire this weekend on social media after defending embattled NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal.
Friday, Hilson tweeted her support for Dolezal, who recently was outed by her parents for posing as a black woman.
“Let’s just all thank #RachelDolezal. Identity, pathological, & parental issues aside, she’s doing more than most of us do for ourselves,” Hilson tweeted Friday.
The “Pretty Girls Rock” singer was immediately blasted by her followers who disagreed with her “defense” of Dolezal.
Hilson later clarified her initial Tweet, saying that she wasn’t attempting to defend Dolezal.
