Tuesday morning, HBO tweeted out an image of Kerry Washington as Anita Hill for the upcoming film Confirmation.
The film, which Washington is also executive producing, will follow the story of the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings in 1991. The hearings were historic in their examination not only of race relations but of victims’ rights.
Wendell Pierce is set to play Thomas alongside Washington’s Hill. The film will also star Jennifer Hudson, Cobie Smulders, Erika Christensen, Eric Stonestreet, Grace Gummer, Greg Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Dylan Baker and Alison Wright.
