A developmentally disabled Detroit man was beaten and robbed by a man he had invited to his house for sex, reports My Fox Detroit.

Henry Hoskins, who is 25 years old and suffers from fetal alcohol syndrome, invited the man, who he met online, over to his house for sex at midnight on his birthday. Following intercourse, however, the man, who called himself “Tee,” choked Hoskins and hit him with a gun. After Hoskins passed out, Tee took his cell phone and wallet.

According to WJBK-TV, Hoskins was ashamed of the circumstances surrounding his attack and initially told the police a different story, but now he has come out to tell the truth in order to help prevent this from happening to anyone else.

“God is going to get you for what you did to me,” Hoskins said in a message to his attacker on WJBK-TV. “And I hope you suffer the consequences.”

Cynthia Johnson, his adoptive mother, said that she was concerned that Tee “probably knew he was very naive” and decided to take advantage of her son.

“I’m sure this wasn’t this criminal’s first time doing what he’s done,” Johnson told the local Fox News station. “And, who knows, he may have killed someone in the past. But we need to get this animal off the street.”
