Only weeks after The View added Raven Symone to its regular cast, another change was announced: Rosie Perez will be leaving.
Executive producer Bill Wolff announced her departure in a note to the staff:Â “Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting. Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive.”
Perez, who joined the cast last fall, will leave when the season ends this summer and will, Wolff assured staff, receive a proper sendoff and goodbye.
Perez remains on good terms with The View, with Wolff noting that she will always be welcome to return to the show as a guest.
