It’s not the soundtrack the Ku Klux Klan was going for, but Matt Buck thought it was just what they needed.

Buck noticed KKK members and Confederate flag supporters parading down the streets in Columbia, South Carolina over the weekend and he thought the best course of action was to grab his tuba.

Well, actually, it’s a sousaphone.

Buck has been studying tuba performance at the University of South Carolina and was at a nearby counter protest when he thought he would make his anti-Confederate flag stance clear.

“I didn’t really know how to show my opposition, so that was my way of doing it,” Buck told the Charleston City Paper.

So Buck began to serenade the marchers with a tune from a hilarious scene in Family Guy. Then he followed up with “Ride of the Valkyries.”

“A few people had a few things to say, but nobody really confronted me or anything,” Buck said. “My goal was to embarrass them, and I think I did a little bit.”

The KKK had announced the rally as part of a protest after South Carolina voted to take the Confederate battle flag down from its statehouse grounds, and several other organizations, including the Detroit-based National Socialist Movement Party, attended as well
