Last week, during Friday night’s Fan Fest at Bank of America Stadium, a Make a Wish kid was named the honorary head coach of the Carolina Panthers, and to celebrate, the Panthers and Braylon Beam danced their hearts out.
Braylon, who is six years old and is going to be a first grader at Rock Springs Elementary School, in Denver, has a tumor on his optic nerve that he is being treated for at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
“He’s a real energetic young man who has got a real good sense for being around people. He showed that,” head coach Ron Rivera said. “He’s got a great fight about him and I hope our guys got the message and understand who this young man is.”
So, during the Fan Fest, when Silento’s “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” came over the loudspeakers, Braylon showed off his dance moves and his energy, and the Panthers joined in the fun. Before the song was over, Braylong had been joined by Cam Newton, Mike Tolbert, Tre Boston and Kelvin Benjamin, among others.
