Ever since Peggy Hubbard posted a rant against the Black Lives Matter movement that went viral, she has been criticized heavily from all sides. In an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon, she addressed her critics with a single phrase: “Bite me.”

The main point of Hubbard’s original rant was frustration that a nine-year-old girl had been killed in a drive-by shooting but that there was not the same level of outrage for the young girl’s death as there was for the death of a young man killed by police.

In talking to Lemon, Hubbard said that officers were worried about becoming “the next Darren Wilson” because of the Black Lives Matter movement.

In the segment, Lemon read some of the criticisms of Hubbard and of her rant, including one that used the n-word, but Hubbard dismissed them all with a simple, “Bite me.”
