An Oregon mayor was arrested Sunday night when authorities found methamphetamine on him.
Mayor of Idanha, Oregon Cletus Moore was arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop, reports the Daily News.
According to police, the Oregon mayor was driving his vehicle without insurance when he was pulled over in Jefferson. Moore and his passenger Christopher Kosack admitted that they had gone to Jefferson in order to buy meth.
The two went to Marion County Jail but were later released. They are set to appear in court at the end of the month on felony drug charges.
What’s more, this is not the first time Moore has been in trouble with the law for drugs. In 2009, he was convicted of meth possession.
The Idanha City Hall has not yet commented on the matter.
