Joe Odom has previously been open about his son’s struggles with drugs, but he does not believe that this time Lamar was drugged of his own volition.
“Somebody drugged my son,” Joe said in an exclusive statement to Hollywood Life. “There’s no way he’s down there partying crazy like that.”
“I knew something was wrong because I’ve been calling him all day and he hasn’t been answering. I’m depressed right now — this is messed up! What can I do right now? That’s my son. I’m really hurt right now. This is the first time I’m hearing about it. Let’s give this some time. I pray that he will come out of this,” he continued.
Joe then reached out to his former daughter-in-law, Khloe Kardashian, asking her to reach out to him with information as she is reportedly flying out to be beside Odom.
“If Khloe knows anything about this, please, tell her to call me. We all love Lamar and want him to pull through this,” he said.
The owner of the brothel where Odom was found has said that Odom had ingested an herbal substitute for Viagra before he was found unresponsive.
