According to TMZ, Odom is “still in a coma, his organs are still failing, he’s still hooked up to a breathing machine” as of Wednesday morning.
Odom was found unresponsive in a Nevada brothel roughly 70 miles outside of Vegas earlier Tuesday.
The 35-year-old was reportedly transported to Sunrise Hospital, just miles from the arena.
Kobe Bryant left the Lakers’ preseason game early Tuesday night, and the official reason given was that of a leg contusion.
However, Fox Sports reports Bryant, as well as general manager Mitch Kupchak, left the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to be with former LA Laker Lamar Odom.
Los Angeles Daily News Lakers beat writer Mark Medina first broke news Wednesday morning that Bryant and Kupchak did in fact leave the arena to be by Odom’s side.
Odom won two NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010, before exiting the league in 2013. He was married to Khloe Kardashian (2009-2013) and was featured on her family’s reality TV show during their time together.
Khloe reportedly traveled to be with Odom and is currently by his side. Her sister, Kim Kardashian, and mother, Kris Jenner, are also reportedly at Odom’s bedside.
