Listening to Ciara’s cover of the Rolling Stone’s 1966 classic “Paint it Black” will stop your tracks. Listening to her sing while watching Vin Diesel run around the streets of New York City trying to save the world from destruction will make you want to go see The Last Witch Hunter, which hits theaters nationwide today.

In the film, Diesel plays an 800-year-old immortal witch-hunter tasked with the job of stopping the witch covens of New York City as they try to destroy humanity by way of a horrific plague. In order to accomplish this, he must partner up with a beautiful female witch, something he thought he would never do.

In a new trailer for the film, Ciara sings a haunting version of Paint it Black, which fits perfectly with the supernatural science fiction feel of the The Last Witch Hunter.

“It was actually a surprise for me when I got the call from Universal Publishing and Lionsgate,” Ciara told Rolling Stone in an interview announcing the her new song. “I had never thought to cover this song. It was never on my radar to cover it, but when the opportunity came along, I was very thrilled.… I feel like it pushes the edge and the limit for me, in reference to what people probably expect from me.”
