Sophia Vergara responds to rumors of Bill Cosby sexual assault after 2003 'creepy' interview resurfaces
Sofia Vergara is attempting to shut down rumors she's one of Bill Cosby’s alleged sexual assault victims....
Remember that creepy interview Bill Cosby did with Sophia Vergara back in 2003?
Well, video of that interview is making the rounds of the Internet again, especially in light of the huge controversy currently surrounding the comedian in the wake of dozens of women coming forward to accuse him of sexual assault.
At the time, in 2003, Cosby was filling in for David Letterman while the host was out sick, and he could hardly take his eyes off of Vergara.
“You make me feel young again,” Cosby says in the interview before leaning in closer and pulling off a horribly fake Spanish accent. “You make me feel very … excited. Look at me.”
“Don’t die on me!” Vergara said, laughing. “This is my first time on American TV. Don’t die here! But maybe if you do die I will be very famous. Tomorrow everybody will know me. Bill Cosby died interviewing Sofia Vergara,” she continued after he leaned back and gave her a little more space.
Later, though, Vergara put her foot down and gently told the comedian, “You can’t talk to a girl like that.”
It’s a cringe-worthy video as it is, and when Victoria Valentino, who is one of the women currently bringing accusations against Cosby, saw it, she said, “It’s creepy.”
Recently, Vergara turned to Twitter to shut down rumors she’s one of Bill Cosby’s alleged sexual assault victims.
The Modern Family star slammed the Spanish radio show El Candela, which claimed she “could’ve been one of Cosby’s victims” amid sexual abuse allegations against the comedian.
“A video of an interview of Bill Cosby and a young Sofia Vergara came out. It’s rumored if she could’ve been one of his victims,” El Candela tweeted in Spanish.
“Respect people. Stop inventing nonsense,” she wrote in Spanish.
Respeten a la gente. Dejen de inventar bobadas. https://t.co/ri8okU46rH
