Khloe Kardashian has come out to defend the recent interview she gave to People magazine, saying that she wasn’t using Lamar Odom’s hospitalization for her own publicity.

During the interview, Kardashian noted that she was not, as rumors suggested, jumping right back into a relationship with Odom, though she was putting the divorce on hold.

“There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It’s not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now. I loved him always, and I will always love him. I pulled back on the divorce because there is no rush for it. For medical reasons and a ton of other things, it’s just smarter that it’s put on hold. But that does not mean I’m back with Lamar. It’s not even in our brains to think about us having a relationship. Only time will tell,” she said.

However, since the interview, which was part of a tour for her new book, Strong Looks Better Naked, many people have accused Kardashian of using the press surrounding Odom’s hospitalization to promote herself, and she hit back on Twitter to dispute that.

“I want to make this VERY clear…. My people cover, I shot and interviewed for PRIOR to all the events that happened,” she tweeted out. “It was contracted press for my book that I wrote months and months ago. Timing is what it is.”

She added, “Know the facts before you throw stones.”
