Songbird Melanie Fiona is expecting her first child with boyfriend singer songwriter Jared Cotter.
In a heartfelt Instagram post Thursday night, the singer confirmed the big news with her fans. The post read:

Fiona is set to release her third album, Awake, sometime next year. Her latest single, “I Tried,” debuted last month. The video addresses Fiona’s thoughts police brutality and domestic violence.
Fiona’s boyfriend Cotter also shared the pregnancy announcement video on his Instagram page:

This is Fiona and Cotter’s first child together.
