Actress/comedienne Sherri Shepherd just lost a vicious child support battle with her ex-husband, Lamar Sally.
The View co-host lost her bid to have her name removed from the birth certificate of a baby boy she and her ex-husband had via surrogate.
Shepherd’s lawyers have been arguing for months that she should not be made to pay child support, because she believes her ex-husband defrauded her by getting a surrogate to have their baby.
According to TMZ, an appeals court agreed with the lower court’s decision that Sherri was fully on board with the surrogate plan and, in fact, paid for most of the process. She will reportedly continue with the terms of their settlement, paying $4,100 per month until the infant hits 13, then it’s $4,600.
There is a chance that the case could go all the way to the Supreme Court should she appeal this more recent decision.
