Marque “Tate” Lynche, a former Mousketeer and American Idol contestant, was found dead in his Harlem apartment under suspicious circumstances, officials said on Monday. He was 34-years-old.

According to NY Daily News, Lynche’s body was discovered by his roommate, and there was no apparent trauma to his body. Police are working to determine a cause of death.

“There was no note, no pills,” a police source said. “We’re waiting on the medical examiner.”

Lynche’s career was launched when he appeared on three seasons of the All New Mickey Mouse Club from 1993 to 1995. After that, he began to work on his music career, performing on Broadway and competing in the third season of American Idol. He continued to put out music as recently as this past September.

“I am blessed to have a career where I can use the talent God gave me to put a smile on someone’s face,” he wrote on Facebook of his musical career.
