Ariadna Gutiérrez, Miss Colombia, who was mistakenly crowned the winner of the Miss Universe pageant after a mistake made by host Steve Harvey, is speaking out about the pageant gaffe, saying that the whole fiasco was “humiliating.”
Asked by TMZ if she thought that the mistake was made on purpose in an attempt to boost ratings, she said, “If that was the goal, they succeeded.”

She later went on the say that the error was a slap in the face for her heritage, underlining the rumors that there was racial tension between the Latina contestants and Miss Philippines. “It was very humiliating for me, but also for the whole country and for all the people not only from Colombia but the other Latinos that were in the auditorium,” she said.
