Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has revealed that the Black Panther movie officially has its director.

The project will be directed by Creed‘s Ryan Coogler, and although the release of the movie has been pushed back to 2018, Feige promises that the title character, T’Challa, will play a huge role in the upcoming Avengers sequel, Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2.

“Not only do you get an unbelievable lead character, but you also get all of Wakanda which is a whole new setting and culture to explore,” Feige said.

The only confirmed cast member so far is Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, though Feige promises that the movie will feature a “majority black cast.”
