Quentin Tarantino makes absurd 'ghetto' comment during Golden Globe acceptance speech

Jamie Foxx reacts to Quentin Tarantino's 'ghetto' comment during 'Golden Globe Awards'...

During Sunday’s Golden Globe awards, director Quentin Tarantino accepted the award for Best Original Score on behalf of Hateful Eight collaborator Ennio Morricone, though now Morricone is likely wishing he hadn’t.

Tarantino, 52, said the Morricone is ‘my favorite composer,’ and not just in ‘that ghetto’ of movie composition.

He added: ‘I’m talking Mozart, I’m talking Beethoven, I’m talking Schubert.’

His use of the word seemed to be taken as a racial slight by award presenter Foxx, who after he left the stage walked up to the microphone and sternly said simply, ‘ghetto?’

Tarantino’s comments came after Foxx jokingly naming ‘Straight Outta Compton’ for best original score, which didn’t actually receive a nomination.
