Sylester Stallone won a Golden Globe for best supporting actor in his role in Creed, but when he got up there to accept the award, he forgot to thank the team behind Creed, and that had many people shaking their heads.
“Well. I’m gonna go ahead and thank RYAN COOGLER + MICHAEL B. JORDAN since no one else is. Thank you, brothers. Good work. #smh #goldenglobes,” director Ava DuVernay tweeted when Stallone seemed to forget to thank director Ryan Coogler and his costar Michael B. Jordan.
“#waitwaitwait, Ryan Coogler & Michael B Jordan, Thanks for acting with me!!! Loved Sly but…” chimed in Samuel L. Jackson.
Although Stallone realized his mistake and rushed back to the stage to thank the Creed team during the commercial break, not everyone got to see that, so Stallone took to Twitter to thank them officially: “Samuel Jackson is upset that I foolishly forgot to mention the brilliant Ryan Coogler and MB Jordan he is right I owe them everything.”
