Michelle Obama stuns at the State of the Union, dress sells out online

Tuesday was President Barack Obama’s final State of the Union address, but before he even began speaking, people were already buzzing about First Lady Michelle Obama’s stunning look.

FLOTUS was flawless in the beautiful marigold, sleeveless dress as she sat in the House of Representatives gallery, beside a seat left empty in order to honor “the victims of gun violence who no longer have a voice.”

It didn’t take long for social media to identify the dress’ designer and where it was sold. Folks flocked to Neiman Marcus to buy the crepe dress by designer Narciso Rodriguez.

Before the night was over, the dress had completely sold out online, reports E! News. It was originally being sold at  $2,095, though the price was reduced to $628.

Interestingly, as New York Times fashion critic Vanessa Friedman pointed out to her Twitter audience, Rodriguez was there at the beginning of the First Lady’s presidential fashion choices, so it is fitting that Michelle would return to Rodriguez at the end of her husband’s presidency as well.

Celebrities and fans alike took to social media to praise the First Lady’s fashion choices, calling the dress “’60s-era glamour” and heaping compliments on Michelle.
