On Thursday veteran actor Wesley Snipes tweeted a message of support to rising star Michael B. Jordan after he was snubbed by the Oscars for best actor consideration. People are outraged that for a second year in the row the Academy Awards are going to be a nearly all-white affair. Social media has dusted off last year’s #OscarsSoWhite hashtag for the award show airing next month.

Snipes’s tweet read: “Hey man @michaelb4jordan keep up the good work!”

Many fan favorite black talent where shut out this year including Will Smith, Idris Elba, and Jordan for his role in the Rocky franchise sequel Creed. However, Jordan’s co-star Sylvester Stallone was nominated for best supporting actor. Chris Rock is set to host this show airing February 28th.
