Georgia lottery winner killed in home invasion

In November, Craigory Burch Jr. won nearly half a million dollars in a lottery drawing, but unfortunately, he did not live long to enjoy that money, as he was killed in a home invasion.

According to WALB, Burch was reportedly shot and killed on Thursday night. The 20-year-old forklift driver-turned-lottery winner was in the home with his girlfriend at the time of the robbery and tried to call for help.

No arrests have been made, and no suspects have yet been named in the case.

Burch’s friends say that he used some of the winnings from the lottery to buy Christmas presents for people in need.

There are currently no suspects. Police ask that anyone with information call the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office at 229-426-5161.
