On Thursday, police were called to an Ohio home after neighbors reported that they heard a child crying for over thirty minutes. When police arrived, they found a 20-month-old toddler stuck in a toilet.

Officers rescued the boy from the toilet and then called Child Protective Services. They also found three marijuana plants in the home.

Two hours later, the child’s mother, Justice Chance, was seen walking up to the apartment complexes carrying bags from Wal-Mart. Police believe that Chance left her child at home in order to go shopping.

Chance insisted that her sister was supposed to babysit the toddler while she was out, but she was unable to give police the last name of her sister.

Chance and Rashaan Cuffee, the child’s father, were both charged with child endangement and marijuana cultivation.
