Two people defend barbershop full of customers during robbery, kills suspect
On Friday night, two people with valid concealed weapons permits defended customers during an armed robbery at a barbershop.
On Friday night, two people with valid concealed weapons permits defended customers during an armed robbery at a barbershop.
Several customers, including some children, were in the shop when two masked men burst in and demanded money. The men were armed, but so were two people in the shop with concealed weapons.
The two victims shot at the suspects, wounding one of them, who collapsed outside. The second suspect was able to get away from the scene, however.
The wounded suspect was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Columbia Police Department.
