'The Prancing Elites' talk season 2, overcoming scrutiny from black church

Kentrell Collins and Kareem Davis discuss season 2 of 'The Prancing Elites Project'...

The Prancing Elites are back for a second season of their hit Oxygen reality series.

This season on The Prancing Elites Project, Mobile, Alabama’s gay and non-gender conforming dance troupe has set their sights on expanding their brand and reaching a national audience.

Life is still a spontaneous dance for all five original members, including Adrian Clemons, Kentrell Collins, Kareem Davis, Jerel Maddox and Tim Smith. Together, they still face the harsh realities of being who they are in an environment that is unwilling to accept them. However, as each member begins to explore their identity outside of the group, relationships and priorities are put to the test on an emotional, yet fun-filled journey.

Watch theGrio’s interview with Collins and Davis as they open up about dealing with scrutiny from the black church and overcoming personal obstacles.

Be sure to catch all new episodes of The Prancing Elites Project Tuesdays at 8/7c on Oxygen.
