Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Recently, Timbaland got some bad press after reports circulated that he refused to perform at a Flint, Michigan, charity event because he wasn’t given the bottle of Ace of Spades champagne that he had requested.

“His management (took) classlessness to a new level when they said Timbaland did ‘not feel like’ performing,” Club Bleu co-owner Mitchell Jaworski wrote Saturday.

“They then insisted that we show them the signed contract for the night and where the stipulation was for the ‘live’ performance. Finally management relented and literally had to wake Timbaland up so he could proceed to stand behind the decks and nod his head for 30 minutes.”

But Timbaland fired back with his own response on Instagram, saying, “I want everybody to think I wasn’t suppose to perform think about it why would I do that see what I need to do for now on call these promoter out that not rite for the fans and me now I’ve gave money and came and they ask me at last min sorry to the people who lied to y’all but what kills me is that y’all believe anything these days u believe other and not the source u believe a text and y’all r debating over black and white letters.”
